What mounting hardware does the Beakle Bird House come with?

The Beakle Bird House comes with mounting hardware on the back of the bird house, designed to mount the birdhouse to a tree or wall using screws. We also sell a ground stand or tree straps for alternate mounting options. You can see these additional mounting options here.

Will the Solar Panel be enough to power the camera in the Beakle Bird House?

From 3-4 hours of direct sunlight, the solar panel will charge the camera battery enough to power the camera for 10 days. This gives us a large enough buffer if there are numerous days with cloud cover.

We recommend you mount the solar panel in an area that gets at least 4 hours of direct sunlight each day (depending on weather) from Spring to Fall.

If you don't have an area on your property that can get enough sunlight each day, you can purchase our 15,000 mAh power bank here. The power bank gives you 30 days of power for the Beakle Bird House on a single charge and is designed for outdoor use.

What's the max distance I can mount the Solar Panel from the Beakle Bird House?

The Beakle Bird House includes a 6ft cable to connect the camera to the solar panel, so the solar panel will need to be within 6 feet of the Beakle Bird House.

If you need more distance from the solar panel to the Beakle Bird House, you can purchase a longer USB C to USB C cable separately.

How can I attract a specific bird specie to nest in the Beakle Bird House?

You have two levers to choose when it comes to adjusting the Beakle Bird House to attract the right bird species:

1. Livable Bird House Height - You can adjust the height of the bird house to either 6", 7.5" or 8.5". Both the width and depth of the livable bird house space is 6" and cannot be adjusted.

2. Entry Hole Sizes - The Beakle Bird House comes with a 1.5" hole entry size, but you can purchase additional entry holes in 1", 2", 2.5" and 3" here.

How long is the range from the Wifi router to the Beakle Bird House Antenna?

The Beakle Bird House uses a 2.4GHz antenna (with W.FL, MHFIII, or AMMC connector) to connect to your home Wi-Fi network. On average, you can expect a reliable connection range of up to 150–250 feet (45–75 meters) in open outdoor conditions with minimal obstructions.

However, the exact range depends on your environment. Walls, trees, metal siding, or other signal obstacles can reduce range. For the best performance, we recommend placing your Wi-Fi router near a window or using a Wi-Fi range extender if your birdhouse is positioned farther away in your yard.
